The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival will feature The Eagles, Tom Petty, The Foo Fighters, and John Mayer among the hundreds of acts playing the festival in 2012. The party goes down across two weekends from April 27th to May 6th, and will be spread over a dozen (or so) stages.
With so much talent loaded onto this bill, it’s impossible to pinpoint just a couple featured acts. Al Green, Bon Iver, Herbie Hancock, My Morning Jacket, Iron & Wine, Feist, Florence + the Machine, and Jill Scott are all deserving festival headliners in their own right, but they represent just a fraction of the nationally recognized talent on this year’s packed festival lineup.
Festival producer Quint Davis said of landing The Eagles and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers:
They’ve been on our most in demand list for years […] They are both legendary groups that you hope someday you can get. To have both in the same year and on top of that have the Foo Fighters, it’s amazing that they’ve all come together in one year.
Tickets are $40 a day if you buy the weekend packages, and $45 for single-day tickets before March 1st.
